Getting Started

General & Permit Process

Standard oversize permits are typically processed same-day or next business day. Emergency permits for time-sensitive moves can be turned around in 2–4 hours through our priority desk.
Yes — we process permits across all 10 provinces and 3 territories in Canada, plus all 48 contiguous U.S. states.
Vehicle registration, load dimensions (height, width, length, weight), axle configuration, origin and destination, and your intended move date. We'll confirm exactly what's needed for your specific load during a quick assessment call.
Yes. Our emergency desk operates around the clock for urgent moves, breakdowns, reroutes, and last-minute jurisdiction changes — typically issuing permits within 1–4 hours.
Fees vary by permit type and jurisdiction. Single-trip permits generally range from $25–$300, while superloads and annual permits can run higher depending on complexity. We provide an exact quote before filing anything.
Oversize Permits

Oversize & Overweight Permits

Any load exceeding standard legal dimensions (typically 8.5ft wide, 13.5ft tall in most jurisdictions) or weight limits as calculated by the bridge formula requires a permit. Exact thresholds vary by province and state.
A single-trip permit covers one specific move on a defined route within a short validity window (3–10 days). An annual permit covers unlimited trips within specified dimension limits for 12 months — ideal for carriers making frequent similar moves.
Requirements vary by jurisdiction and load width, but generally a single pilot car is required once width exceeds about 12 feet, with front and rear escorts required above 14–16 feet. Superloads frequently require police escort as well.
A superload exceeds standard oversize thresholds significantly enough to require individual engineering review of every bridge and structure along the route — typically widths over 14–16 feet or weights over 150,000+ lbs.
Yes. We offer dedicated route survey services that map clearance restrictions, weight-limited bridges, and construction zones before you file — preventing costly mid-route surprises.
Cross-Border

Cross-Border Compliance

Absolutely. We coordinate ACE and ACI e-manifests, CBSA and CBP filings, and customs documentation for seamless north–south corridor moves.
ACE (U.S.-bound) and ACI (Canada-bound) are electronic manifest systems required for all commercial freight crossing the border. They must be transmitted electronically — typically at least 1 hour before the truck arrives at the crossing.
FAST (Free and Secure Trade) provides expedited border clearance for pre-approved, low-risk carriers and drivers. Eligibility requires C-TPAT (U.S.) or PIP (Canada) carrier approval and an individual FAST card for the driver.
No — Titanways is not a licensed customs broker. We coordinate directly with your existing broker (or refer a trusted partner) to ensure your transport-side documentation matches their customs entry exactly, preventing border holds.
Fleet Safety

Fleet Safety & CVOR

CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration) is required for carriers operating commercial vehicles in Ontario, with similar safety fitness certificates required in other provinces under National Safety Code standards.
We recommend continuous monitoring rather than periodic checks — a declining trend can trigger an audit or affect insurance premiums long before a formal violation appears. Our monthly trend reports catch issues early.
Auditors review your complete safety management system: driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance records, hours of service logs, and accident reporting. We help you prepare in advance so there are no surprises on audit day.
Yes — we offer audit preparation specifically for carriers with an upcoming scheduled audit, including gap analysis against the auditor's exact checklist and documentation cleanup before the audit date.
